"I'd like to see UCF start close to campus by making it more conducive for students living close to campus to bike without having to do so much travelling on Alafaya. Bike paths cutting across campus from McCulloch Rd and Alafaya at different points would allow bikers to get to campus with less danger. One trail already exists, although it is not well maintained. That is the one which comes out next to the women's softball complex. Trouble with that one is that it's existence is not widely known and much traffic would probably cause it to become a sand pit."

"This is an excellent undertaking whose time is way overdue. A well-designed trails system that will accommodate both recreation and destination use will be a practical and worthwhile addition to the university environment. UCF has an excellent opportunity to become a leader in designing transportation alternatives that can benefit environment, health, safety and public awareness. But, it will take more than a few additional bicycle racks and 'designated bike route' signs for this project to be a success"
